| Company proprietor John Gillard is one of the founding members of the Traction Owners Club in the U.K. Within the club, he has run the TOC 'Spares Scheme' for a number of years before making his hobby and technical expertise into a business. | Visiting 'Classic Restorations'' immediately makes the pulse of a true blooded Tractionist race faster, comparable to making 'a barn find' of an original Traction on a remote farm in the French countryside. Johns workshop resembles a true 'Aladin's cave' of parts used or new, suspended from the ceiling or stacked in rows of shelving, bending under the weight of so many starter engines, clutch plates, etc. The amount of newly chromed ornaments and rubber parts is probably unrivalled in the UK. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

In John's workshop a number of interesting Traction models are always present
in different stages of restoration. John uses local London craftsmen for
specialist jobs, such as paintwork and upholstery. Not always the cheapest
prices, as you would expect in any world capital, but John's years of experience
will ensure that a quality product is delivered.
A number of London residents, who like to drive a Traction as their main means of Transportation, have their cars regularly services by John's experienced staff. John has recently opened new premises in the Old Kent Road to be able to do more long term restoration projects. Classic Restoration always have a large selection of Tractions for Sale, either owned or on behalf of customers. For a current list follow the link elsewhere on this page. Especially for those interested in Slough built models of our famous marque, could do worse than first check what John currently has in stock. Prices range from £2,000.- to £15,000.- |
