A Bit fed up with the usual
'camping in a wet field' annual rallies,
rally organisers John Starke and Marcus Lasance looked for a
suirable rally site in the Essex Suffolk borders and a 'theme'
to make the rally a bit more interesting.
Kentwell Hall in Long Melford
is locally well known for it's 'Tudor Recreations'.
Local actors occupy the grounds of this beautiful medievial hall in period
clothes and talk to each other in the spoken word of the Tudor era.
We couldn't quite put on a full
show, but during the evening's entertainment
we were served by wenches 'in costume' while a local musical group played
medevial music on medivial instruments.
A tour of 'Constable' country
with stps in Lavenham and Dedham completed
The programme. Due to the close location to the ferry port of Harwich we
were joined by many of our Traction friends of the continent.
