Roughly at the same time we bought the Six, a reconditioned engine is offered
to me by Larry Kraus.
This engine is reputedly reconditioned by a first class engineering shop in Los
Angeles.
The price asked including transport costs (£600) seems a good alternative to
reconditioning the existing engine,
which is in bits (head removed) with the liners having inadvertently moved by
turning over the engine,
without clamping down the liners. This means that the engine will have to be
totally dismantled anyway.
