Found new home Traction 11BL  UXG804

Press release:
New home found in Ireland for 1955 Citroen Traction 11BL "Legère", fully restored, MOT April 2007.
Registration UXG804.
This car belonged to TOC member Paul Beadman of Bristol who did most of the body work and did a complete rewiring including fitting modern fuse boxes.
Sadly Paul passed away before finishing his project so his widow called the TOC help line and the car was passed to Marcus Lasance to complete the restoration project.
The engine needed a complete rebuild, including new liners and pistons and had not run more than a few local miles to the MOT station in Ipswich,
when it was put up for sale by me. A new modern diaphragm type clutch was fitted. The gear box was changed for a good second hand one
and new oil seals were fitted around the output shafts.
The car has new brake cylinders and brake linings. The copper brake tubing and the flexible connectors have been replaced.
Every rubber part on this car was replaced. There are new door panels with an unusual 'snake skin' pattern I have never seen before but which looks the part.
The ceiling has been re-upholstered and new carpets fitted. The seats and rear bench were not done but are tidy.
The wheels were shot blasted and stove enamelled. All the chrome work was redone. The wing ends and boot were repaired and the car had a new paint job.
The exterior is immaculate. The pictures above show the car being picked up in Bristol in 2003 and another one in April 2007,
just before the car was delivered by me to the new owner Bill Richards In Co. Tipperary, Eire. Naturally we had to stop for tea in Portishead
and pay our respects to Pamela Beadman, who seemed real pleased to see the project her husband started finally finished
and the car found a new home in Ireland, where it will be treasured by its new owner Bill richards.
The remaining pictures mainly show engine overhaul by Seager Engineering and everything put together.
